• Overview of what we're doing with the stuffs
• Told Dr. Frank about new voltage regulators, moved sub, meeting with Ryan
• New design overview
  • Didn't think cylindrical design was particularly good either
• Funding
  • $2260 presently
  • Told him about the companies at engineering day
  • We will be putting together grant proposal in the next 2-2.5 weeks, he said that sounds good
• Added us (Sondra and Kyle) to lasts year's BlackBoard to get design materials/send emails
• Send Dr. Frank a copy of needs analysis
• Encourages us to do experiments BEFORE we take the old one apart
  • Takes a long time before we can do it again
  • Last year had a hard time getting the water tests done, that was probably what stopped them from finishing
  • Arrange lots of in-water testing time!
  • First year went but didn't even qualify, so that's why they're so touchy about not going to competition if we won't compete
• Experimentally determine drag coefficients and whatnot for numerical analysis
  • Rate of coasting to stop
  • Control theory issue, need this info for programming motor controls
  • Pretty complicated control problem to move into the correct positions
  • Doesn't recommend that we simulate the full thing, pretty hard
  • Testbench simulation might be worthwhile to save pool trips to test our controller
• Willing to look over proposal draft next week
